Julie Diedrich

Julie Diedrich launched the Inner Circle Irvine Group in January 2010. Julie was formerly the Founder and President of JK Consulting, LLC, a Maryland based Organizational Development / Human Resources consulting firm, and currently is a Consultant for Strategic Results Group. Julie is a highly experienced professional who specializes in working with small to mid-size companies to improve organizational performance.

Prior to starting up an Inner Circle in Orange County, Julie was an active member of a peer advisory roundtable and then became a facilitator for the Greater Baltimore Technology Council. Similar to Inner Circle, these roundtables served as a forum where business owners, CEO’s, and Presidents could share ideas, cross-breed strategies for growth, and discuss the unique challenges of owning and operating a company. As such, Julie has first hand experience in recognizing the concerns and emotions that members go through on this collaborative yet introspective journey.

Julie is an active member of numerous professional, networking, and volunteer organizations both nationally and locally such as SHRM, NAWBO, ProVisors, and Girls Inc.

Julie earned her Masters degree in Applied Psychology from the University of Baltimore, specializing in Industrial / Organizational Psychology, and her Bachelors degree in Psychology from the University of Arizona. Julie also holds a Professional in Human Resources Certification. In her spare time, Julie enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, skiing, hiking, and biking.

Don Sando

A Business Leader
Armed with a blend of leadership and business skills, Don is uniquely positioned by both experience and talent to provide mentoring and coaching services to CEOs, business owners, and executive directors. With more than 35 years experience in both small and large ventures, Don brings a rich business background to his work. He has senior executive experience working in both manufacturing and high-tech environments, from engineering design to manufacturing planning to marketing / sales and strategic planning. Don has also been trained by Leadership Management International as a Certified Facilitator & Coach.

Don had the good fortune of moving up the management ladder at Hewlett Packard during the '80s. Don became exposed to and learned "the HP Way" first-hand; not only what it meant when performing as an individual contributor, but how to maximize organizational performance as a manager. He became an internal facilitator of the HP strategic planning process, working with various HP Divisions to develop & implement plans for continued growth & market dominance.

Recruited away from HP by a $60M San Diego company, Don was the leader in growing the $12M core product division to $18M via international expansion & new product development; then to $40M via acquisition. This company was then acquired by a $125M NCR spin-off, and Don was the sole marketing / sales executive kept on by the acquiring company. His last contribution prior to starting his own business was moving the San Diego Division’s manufacturing operation from Tijuana to mainland China in 2002.

Don started his own company, Strategic Results Group, in 2003. This company is focused on helping its client companies "accelerate business plan execution". Don not only learned the value of developing a strategy for creating a sustainable competitive advantage using the HP process, but the importance of discipline, accountability and effective management & leadership in executing the plan. Along with his partners & associates, Don brings these growth processes to the small to mid-size organization. Don also works with start-ups on obtaining funding.

Understands the Leadership Challenge
Don says: "I am intimately familiar with how closely a leader's values, goals, management skills & behaviors are tied to the performance of the organization. Having clarity of vision, dealing with the daily complexities of running the business, and maintaining a balanced life is an exciting, but often difficult challenge. The answers are rarely black and white. I love facilitating Inner Circle meetings and coaching executives one on one. In Inner Circle, bringing the combined brain power and experience to bear on an issue is an exhilarating process. And, calling out the best in successful executives and their organizations is both stimulating and transformational."
